Spirituality of St Ignatius Useful for Laypeople
31/07 20:28
(31 July 10 - RV) Today is the feast of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits.
The youngest son of a Basque nobleman, Ignatius was born in 1491 and served as a soldier before he underwent a dramatic conversion experience after being wounded in the leg by a cannonball.
His meditations, prayers and visions eventually led him to the decision to form the Society of Jesus along with several companions.
We spoke to Father Brian Grogan, an Irish Jesuit priest and professor who works and writes on Ignatian spirituality. He spoke to us about how the Spirituality of Saint Ignatius is useful especially for laypeople. 00:01:37:51 Sat, 31 Jul 2010 17:03:23 GMT Klik hier voor het volledige artikel Bron: Vatican Radio - Clips-ENG
